Under the general direction of the Worksite Security Supervisor, the incumbent is the most highly skilled specialist and serves as the subject matter expert for Physical Security, Incident Response, and Emergency Preparedness. The role requires specialized experience and knowledge of the department’s security operations, emergency management, and incident response programs. Additionally, this role requires exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills in order to analyze data, develop new and/or innovative approaches/processes, and provide recommendations that align with bureau goals and security standards. Franchise Tax Board’s (FTB) physical security program encompasses our Central Office Campus, seven in-state offices, and three out-of-state offices.

The incumbent is responsible for program consultation, providing subject matter expertise and guidance, in the following areas: life safety, incident response, emergency preparedness, unarmed security guard management, parking lot administration, development and management of contracts, and compliance monitoring duties. The incumbent is expected to maintain the highest degree of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality and use discretion and professional judgment in the execution of their official duties.

Position may be extended to up to 24 months or become permanent.
