Job Description

Staffmax is working with a respected healthcare client to hire a compassionate, organized Pharmacy Assistant for a 4-month contract. As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring the front office runs smoothly and efficiently.

Contract length: 4 Months 
Location: Anaheim, CA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner

  • Manage incoming phone calls and emails; route inquiries appropriately

  • Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments using EMR systems

  • Update and maintain accurate patient records and files

  • Process payments, issue receipts, and handle basic billing tasks

  • Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and welcoming

  • Collaborate with medical staff to support smooth patient flow and care coordination

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a medical clinic or healthcare setting

  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Accuro, OSCAR, or equivalent

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

  • Calm and efficient under pressure, with strong multitasking ability
