Recruiter / Athletic Director (AD)
Location: Louisville, KY

Organization: M.H.G. Preparatory Academy

Reports To: Head of School / Executive Director

Employment Type: Commission-Based with Base Stipend

Position Overview:

The Recruiter / Athletic Director (AD) plays a key role in expanding M.H.G. Prep’s athletic and academic community by recruiting talented student-athletes and their families who align with the school’s mission and Christian values.

This individual will lead recruitment efforts for basketball (current year) and assist in launching programs for football, tennis, and track (next year) .

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, faith-driven professional with strong national prep school and athletic recruiting knowledge, exceptional networking skills, and a passion for helping student-athletes reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Enrollment:

  • Identify, recruit, and enroll qualified student-athletes into M.H.G. Prep’s athletic programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with parents, coaches, AAU programs, and trainers nationwide.
  • Conduct campus visits, virtual tours, and recruitment events.
  • Promote M.H.G. Prep’s academic, athletic, and faith-based environment to potential families.
  • Work closely with the admissions team to ensure smooth onboarding and transition for recruited students.

Athletic Program Development:

  • Oversee and coordinate athletic schedules, tryouts, and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff on player development and team needs.
  • Assist in expanding the school’s athletic offerings (football, tennis, track).
  • Ensure athletic programs reflect the school’s mission and Christian character.

Leadership & Administration:

  • Support coaches and staff in maintaining student-athlete eligibility, behavior, and performance.
  • Represent M.H.G. Prep at community and athletic events.
  • Support the Head of School in matters of athletic compliance, discipline, and program structure.
  • Track recruitment data, player performance, and program outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of high-level prep athletics and the college recruiting process.
  • Established network in national prep or AAU basketball communities.
  • Proven ability to recruit and connect with families.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, disciplined, and faith-driven.
  • Passion for mentoring student-athletes academically, spiritually, and athletically.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in athletic recruiting or management accepted.

Compensation:

  • Commission-Based Structure: Unlimited earning potential based on successful recruitment.
  • Base Pay: Modest guaranteed stipend for Athletic Director duties.
  • Potential Earnings: Up to $90,000 annually , depending on performance and recruitment success.
