As a Security Officer Driver Screening Post in Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a government location where you will monitor entry points verify credentials and support daily access procedures with strong communication and customer service. This is a driving this role you will remain visible conduct routine patrols and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering service with integrity teamwork and a people-first approach.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify identification and authorization and document visitor staff and contractor access in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner while communicating with site personnel and appropriate responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Assist with screening controlling keys and/or credentials and maintaining accurate logs and reports related to daily security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and/or MMR vaccinations are required.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
