As a Security Officer Driver Visitor Intake in Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a government location where you will monitor entry points conduct routine patrols and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors staff and vendors by following site-specific procedures access control protocols and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify identification and credentials and control authorized access to buildings and restricted areas in accordance with post orders and client policies.
• Respond to incidents alarms and unusual activity in a calm problem-solving manner and document security-related concerns observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter noting irregularities and helping to deter unauthorized access trespassing and other security-related issues.
• Communicate with site personnel law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed and maintain accurate logs reports and visitor records throughout each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA DPSS/DHS requirements.
• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
