Akkodis is seeking an SAP BASIS Manager for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA(Hybrid). You will plan and execute end‑to‑end upgrade activities while overseeing system tuning, technical validations, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure a seamless go‑live .
Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
SAP BASIS Manager job responsibilities include:
Lead and execute SAP S/4HANA version upgrades using SUM/DMO, including 2020‑to‑latest release transitions.
Perform all pre‑upgrade checks, readiness assessments, and system preparation activities.
Oversee SPAU/SPDD adjustments, custom code remediation, and post‑upgrade validations.
Manage system performance tuning, kernel upgrades, and transport operations throughout the upgrade cycle.
Collaborate closely with infra, functional, ABAP, and security teams to ensure smooth cutover and go‑live.
Provide strong go‑live, cutover, and hypercare support to stabilize upgraded systems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
6–8 years of hands‑on experience in SAP Basis and HANA administration.
Proven expertise leading end‑to‑end SAP S/4HANA version upgrades using SUM/DMO.
Strong proficiency in system performance tuning, kernel updates, and technical validation activities.
